‘Happy Hour’ is coming twice in one night at Riverlinks WestSide thanks to comedian Luke Kidgell’s refreshing new show. The stand-up comedian blew up the internet with his outrageous and quick-witted crowd interactions, and now he will step off the screen and into the limelight for tonight’s 6pm and 9pm shows.

Slap Tomorrow barbecue
Shepparton activist group Slap Tomorrow is treating the community to a feast for the taste buds and food for thought. From 10am to 1pm, members of the group will be firing up a free barbecue while simultaneously turning up the heat on climate change discussions. Friends of the Earth ‘No More Gas’ co-ordinator Freja Leonard will be behind the barbecue at 11am to discuss the advantages of household energy independence from gas.

SAM clay school: throwing 101
This is your sign to seize the clay at Shepparton Art Museum’s latest workshop. Guided by Kialla-based ceramicist Denielle Anderson, this intensive clay throwing course encourages all to get behind the pottery wheel and take it for a spin. Over the course of four hours, there’ll be plenty of fun in forming your own vessels from scratch. *Intended for people aged 16 and over, no experience needed.

Elton and Billy
For those who missed out on experiencing Elton John and Billy Joel’s Face to Face tour in Australia 25 years ago, I’ve got news for you that won’t go breaking your heart – it’s not too late. Greg Andrew (Elton) and Anthony Mara (Billy) are Australia’s premier tribute artists for Elton and Billy respectively, and they’ve come together to honour the Rocket Man and Piano Man with a show at Riverlinks WestSide.

National Tree Day 2023
Greater Shepparton City Council and Planet Ark will have a field day this Sunday for this year’s National Tree Day. Any friend of the environment is welcome to come along, put down some roots, and plant various indigenous trees, shrubs, wildflowers and grasses. All planting gear provided, including gloves and tools, with the option to BYO. Plus, a free barbecue lunch thanks to Shepparton Lions Club.

Disc golf
The world of golf has been given a shake-up as the sport collides with a game of ultimate frisbee to make way for a new phenomenon: disc golf. KidsTown is debuting a unique nine-hole course, crisp and primed for the playing on Sunday, and teeing off at 10.40am. Suitable for all ages, individuals and groups, this activity is fun for the whole family.
