Hosted by Human Rights Art and Film Festival, there’ll be screenings, discussions and creative workshops on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm that connect young people with mentors and peers in film, music and visual art. Bookings essential via the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival website: https://www.hraff.org.au/picture-this-weekend
Cost: Free
Location: St Paul’s African House, 54 Poplar Ave, Shepparton
Across the Goulburn Valley, talented students from the Class of 2022 worked tirelessly in VCE Art, Studio Arts and Visual Communication Design. Shepparton Art Museum is opening the GV Top Art and Design exhibition from Saturday to showcase 20 of these young creatives. Who knows, the next Picasso or Monet could be there.
An all-day board game event at the Peppermill will be anything but boring. Hosted by pop-up shop Little Plastic Fellas, all are welcome from 10am for a day of eating, drinking and rolling the dice. From thematic adventure games to card games, there’ll be plenty of variety. A small game shop will be at the event and people are encouraged to support the venue by buying a meal.
