Tribute to Dr Michael Kamerjarin
The community of Kialla Lakes together with Dr Michael Kamerjarin’s family and friends have arranged a memorial walk to celebrate his life.
Dr Kamerjarin was a special human. He was a general surgeon at Goulburn Valley Health from 2006 to 2015; but after being diagnosed with MS he had to give all that up.
He became well known as a regular walker/wheeler around Lake Kialla, where he would stop and talk to all and sundry and make people feel special and valued.
He passed away in April last year of cancer aged 59, and one of his wishes was for our community, friends and family to have a walk around the lake, just as he did so many times for more than 15 years.
The event on Sunday will start at Illawarra Crt, Kialla, at 10.30am for a walk around Lake Kialla, followed by a short walk to the Kialla Shop/Milk Bar for a cuppa and a quick catch up.
Calling all bagpipers
The members of the Goulburn Valley Pipes and Drums desperately need experienced pipers and drummers to join the band. Members would also welcome persons wishing to learn to play the bagpipes or side, tenor or bass drum.
Members practise on Thursday from 7pm in the Hall at The Hub, Morrell St, Mooroopna.
