Having brought his own pride and joy to eight previous Historic Wintons, in May he is showing up with the whole club.
“We should have about 12 cars there,” Mr Aggenbach said.
“These are the original Aussie Fords, produced before the Falcon took over.
“They were designed in the UK and originally made in Geelong.
“Then Ford opened its Broadford plant specifically to produce Zephyrs and Zodiacs.”
The cars were produced in Australia between 1958 and 1966.
They were produced in the UK until 1972, and the club will bring a selection of Aussie-built and imported models.
And the great thing about Historic Winton is not only do people get to show off their cars in a traditional show n shine way, they can also get out on the track.
“Every year, they have a parade at lunchtime where all the cars do a lap, and we hope to be part of that,” Mr Aggenbach said.
The Zephyr and Zodiac Club of Victoria was established by Mr Aggenbach in 2023 when he and a group of friends decided they’d like to start their own club.
“We’re a not-for-profit, and we do what we can to support and give back to the community,” he said.
“With our club, we love to catch up and reacquaint with all Zephyr, Zodiac and Consul owners, enjoy each other’s cars and foster friendships.”
The Ford Consul was a model of Zephyr produced in the UK between 1951 and 1962.
“The club is non-judgemental on the type, condition, or variations from the original that you may choose,” he said.
“We co-ordinate runs, get-togethers and social functions.”
Mr Aggenbach said if anyone would like to become a member, they don’t even need to own one.
“If you’d like to join our Membership Secretary, Mandy Cannon can be contacted via zzcvsecretary@gmail.com or 0410 123 250,” He said.
Historic Winton takes place at Winton Motor Raceway on May 25 and 26.
