Junior footy
The young footballers started their season launch at Corowa with a park run, then moved over to John Foord Oval for some fun drills followed by well-earned egg and bacon rolls.
The juniors even got to see the start of the girls footy and cheered on a few goals.
They then moved onto the Corowa Aquatic Centre for more fun and then back down to Rowers Park to enjoy the Murray River and a bit of backyard cricket with a BBQ and fruit.
Female footy
The female footballers had their first hit out in the Roos’ colours against Cobram Barooga.
The female opens team piled on around 20 goals in a dominant performance led by experienced coach Matt Andison. The opens game was followed by closer contest in the Under 18s match.
Matt Andison said it was a good hit out for his team in readiness for the 2025 season.
“We were pleased with the numbers and the opportunity to move players around in various positions before we kick off the season in early April,” Matt said.
The female footballers will hold their jumper presentation this Thursday evening.
Seniors footy
The senior footballers had a fantastic time at their training camp in Sydney over the weekend with a practice match against UNSW Bulldogs.
The Roos also held a training session at the Sydney Swans facility and then enjoyed a cruise on Sydney Harbour.
