The club hosted a sausage sizzle fundraiser, with all proceeds generously donated to support one of their own, Max Coll, as he prepares to represent Victoria at the Colgate Games in New Zealand this coming January.
Max, a proud member of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Little Athletics Club, has worked tirelessly to reach this milestone.
Not only will he be representing Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic), but he also embodies the spirit and dedication of the local grassroots club.
The Colgate Games, renowned as the largest athletics event for young athletes across Australasia, will be held in January 2025.
Max will compete alongside other talented athletes from across the region, showcasing his hard work, determination, and love for athletics on an international stage.
The club extends its gratitude to the local community for their overwhelming support at the sausage sizzle fundraiser contributing $700 to help Max make the most of this incredible opportunity.
"We're so proud of Max and what he’s achieved," YMLAC President Ange James said. "He’s an inspiration to all our young athletes, and we can’t wait to see him shine in New Zealand."
The Yarrawonga Mulwala Little Athletics Club wishes Max all the very best for his journey to the Colgate Games and looks forward to cheering him on as he takes on this exciting challenge.
