The Bears may have the advantage of the two teams, having played under lights in last week's Good Friday Deakin Reserve derby against Shepparton United.
“There was some fumbles, whether that was nerves or the fact we've had 18 months off footy, but hopefully we learn from what happened last week and it holds us in good stead for this week,” Bears co-coach Sam Ahmet said.
Ahmet is expecting a hotly-contested match against the Cats, who are also coming off a round one loss.
“Any team that comes off a loss wants to bounce back,” he said.
“I expect they will come at us.
“It will be an interesting game to see how it goes.
“Who can settle the earliest, could be the difference.”
Cats coach John Lamont will be hoping his team can get its game going after the loss to Mansfield.
“Mansfield were very organised and they didn’t let us get our game going at any stage,” Lamont said.
“They had a purple patch in the second quarter.
“They used the ball well and we made some errors in that period.
“It was a good learning for our young group.”
While the team got through unscathed injury-wise, Lamont said a number of the reserves players had put their hand up for selection.
