With over 100 people attending to compete in the competition, the day was more about friendship and donating to the event, than winning medals.
Wahgunyah Tennis Club’s own Hugh Bergin, who created the event at just 10 years of age with the assistance of his mum and dad Katie and Sean alongside younger brother Will, had a great number of helpers to assist with both the build-up and the day itself.
With support from Wahgunyah Tennis Club, local businesses, and community members, Hugh’s passion project has inspired others to join the fight against breast cancer.

Wahgunyah Tennis Club President Sandra Johnstone said it was a wonderful day and the wider community has been very supportive of this event.
Competitors travelled from as far as Khancoban, Wooragee, Albury, Wodonga, Gerogery and Yarrawonga to support the worthy event.
The Serve Speed Reader was a hit at Wodonga and Albury Tennis Clubs with members testing their serve and Brock Dixon taking out the fastest serve at 157km.
Baked items that were donated were enjoyed by all with BBQ guru Mr Hay keeping the sausages and onions hot whilst Charlotte worked tirelessly in the canteen.

Overall Hugh raised over $3,500 with raffles, speed serving and donations with the Bergin family very grateful to the Indigo Shire Council for their continued support assisting towards the day with an event contribution.
Official sponsor for the day: D'Amico’s Corowa, Daintree Dental and Margaret Court Tennis Academy.
Eiylish McRostie, Evie Meagher and Dean Bensted are joined by Hugh at the end of one of their matches.
Well done to all who have assisted in any way to make this day the brilliant success it was.
