Game two saw the Renegades post 9-179, and despite a run-a-ball 25 from King, the Stars fell 28 runs short as the series was called a draw after the 1-1 split.
King, who currently captains McKinnon Cricket Club in Melbourne’s Cricket Southern Bayside competition, was named captain of the Stars side.
Also a talented footballer, King won Benalla’s goalkicking award in 2024, however will line up for Southern Football League outfit St Paul’s McKinnon in 2025.
