The Swans were in control from the outset, kicking 4.2 to 1.4 in the opening term to set the tone, before pulling away in the second quarter with another five goals.
Despite a more competitive third quarter from Tatura, the visitors never looked troubled as they stormed home 16.11 (107) to 5.5 (35).
While the scoreboard reflected a comfortable night for the Swans, it was their relentless pressure and midfield work that underpinned the victory.
Swan Nathan Hrovat was at his prolific best, collecting 49 disposals and 12 clearances to lead the Swans' engine room.
Mark Kovacevic provided strong support with 24 touches and two goals of his own, while Liam Rachele (14 disposals, 3 goals) made the most of his opportunities up forward.
“He (Hrovat) was clearly the best player on the ground,” Swans coach Jedd Wright said.
“For us, his strengths are more than he brings football-wise.
“His leadership and ability to set us up behind around the ground are really crucial. If he can happen to sneak forward, he can do some damage on the scoreboard too.”
The Swans' midfield brigade drove a dominant 69-25 inside 50 count, with Hrovat, Kovacevic and Quade Johnstone leading the charge.
Once inside the Swans shared the load in attack, with five multiple goal-kickers piling on the scoreboard pressure against a stretched Tatura defence.
“With our forward line, we’ve got Steele (Simpson), who week in, week out takes the best defender. It really frees up our mid-size forwards to really go to work,” Wright said.
Tatura found some positive moments, particularly through the efforts of Jack Lefroy (29 disposals) and Michael Archer (24 disposals), but struggled to match the Swans' ball movement and pressure for extended periods.
The win leaves the Swans sitting fourth on the ladder, undefeated after four rounds, behind fellow unbeaten sides Shepparton, Kyabram and Echuca.
They now prepare for a major challenge in round five, facing Rochester at Princess Park on Saturday.
“For us, same week in, week out,” Wright said.
We really focus on our team mentality when it comes to defence, so we’ll work on that this week at training and, hopefully, we can implement it against probably what will end up being a top two or three team in Rochy.”
Meanwhile, Tatura will look to regroup ahead of a winnable clash with Benalla this weekend at Tatura Park.
