Their ninth wicket stand of 56 came when Rochester was floundering at 8-139 after a middle order collapse.
Earlier openers Sean Williams who made 37 and Brandon Byrne (16) had given Rochester a positive start to its innings.
But after their dismissals only Adam Ward with 33 fired in the middle order before the late heroics from Wright and Cuttriss.
Adam Nunn proved the biggest stumbling block for the Rochester batters with superb economical figures off 4-16 off nine overs.
The only other multiple wicket-taker for Tongala was skipper and new ball bowler Alex Williams with 3-62 off nine overs.
Tongala’s opening bats Williams (33) and Steve Townsend (22) raised hopes of an upset win with a 50-run stand which was followed up with 24 from Darin Ohlsen at first drop.
But when they fell only Matt Ohlsen put up a fight with 24 as Tongala lost its last eight batters for 13 runs and folded to be all out for 133 runs in 41 overs.
Byrne was the wrecker with 4-13 off nine overs.

Echuca South fell to reigning premier Echuca, but BLU had Leitchville-Gunbower’s measure to remain in the battle to play finals.
Echuca South posted 159 in its vital showdown with cross town rival Echuca, but the reigning premier covered this score in 36.3 overs for the loss of only three wickets after its frontline batters got on top of the South attack.
Echuca openers Brendan Moyle with 45 and, a usually aggressive, Curtis Townrow, 52 off 58 balls, produced a stand of 99 before James Grixti and Aidan Young, both with 26 not out, polished off the runs needed to deliver a seven-wicket win.
Earlier the consistent Rathika Rajakumara headed the South run-makers with 59 off 80 deliveries with six boundaries.
He got most support from opener Jaydin Rosin with 30 off 48 balls and first drop Clayton Watson with 27 off 43 deliveries.
But South’s tail didn’t wag with the last six bats mustering 14 runs against the Echuca attack led by Simon Maddox who took 4-15 off seven overs.
Maddox got plenty of support from Kade Edwards and Aiden Young who both claimed two victims.

· Second placed Moama had an easy win over battling Nondies Cohuna.
Batting first Nondies made 149 off 41.2 overs, but Moama eclipsed this score in 33 overs thanks mainly to half-centuries from Anthony McMahon and Russell Stockdale.
Nondies’ innings was highlighted by a determined knock of 64 from Will Ringin.
He got most support from Will O’Shea who made 27 and Matt Robinson with 16.
Michael Hill was the best of the Moama bowlers with his nine overs conceding 32 runs and yielding four wickets.
