Children from under-5 to under-12 can participate, with both mixed and all girls competitions set to be run this year.
With competition set to kick off on Saturday, May 7, parents have until March 31 to ensure their child is registered.
Cobram Junior Soccer Association president Mario Pardo said that after two years of COVID-19-affected play, the committee was looking forward to a more normal 2022 autumn-winter season.
“Our under-5s program and the under-6 to under-12 mixed and all-girls competitions are all set to kick off on Saturday, May 7, with rounds to run until late-August before the season finishes with our traditional gala day,” Pardo said.
“It was great to see so many girls getting involved in soccer last year and we’d love to be able to support the two age groups again this year, so we’d encourage any interested girls to contact us for more information if they’d like to give it a try.”
Both games and training will be held at grounds in Cobram, Finley and Yarrawonga and Pardo emphasised the importance of getting back to the pitch for season 2022.
“After a very disjointed few years with COVID, we are very much looking forward to getting kids back on the pitch and playing soccer in 2022 and to welcoming back all the parents, carers and volunteers that support soccer at a community level,” he said.
A come-and-try day will be held from 4.45 pm this Friday, March 25, at Cobram’s Apex Reserve.
This day will provide an opportunity for new players to try out a new sport, with a meet the coach day also pencilled in for Saturday, April 30.
