Division 1 scored a comfortable 63-53 win over Rich River, mainly due to the dominance of Simon Chisholm’s rink.
The foursome powered to a thumping victory, 25 shots to seven.
Shane Laing’s team of Rob Morris, John Flisher and Peter Chadderton did enough to win 23-19, and while Bryan Kemnitz’s rink suffered a 27-15 defeat it was still enough to get the overall win.
Division 2 had a tough battle all day with neighbours Deni RSL, with DBC eventually winning by three shots.
Linda Harris’ team lost 20 shots to 18, and the combination of Paul Snare, Dallas Kitchin, Helen Anderson and Joanne Bovell went under by the barest of margins — 21 shots to 20 — after conceding a ‘three’ on the final end.
It was then left to the wily veteran Lloyd Ritchie to guide his rink to a 19-13 win, to give the team overall victory, 57 shots to 54.
Division 3 defeated Elmore 68 shots to 55 after Lee Hillier’s side won 24-13, and Lee Pattinson’s rink also cruised to a comfortable 21-15 victory.
The team of Mark Law, John Murray, Tony King and Glenn Thomson battled hard before succumbing 27 shots to 23, but it was more than enough to secure a win for their team.
Division 4b copped a thumping from Moama after the rinks of Alan Hardcastle and Col Knuckey lost 23-9 and 29-9 respectively, giving the visitors victory with 52 shots to 18.
Tomorrow, Divisions 1 and 2 travel to Moama and Mathoura, while Division 3 hosts Lockington at home.
Division 4b are also required to travel to Moama.
