A goal-kicking forward, Tallent joined the Berrigan Saints from North Albury in the Ovens and Murray seniors, where he kicked almost 40 goals in 2024.
Tallent has played most of his football career with the Brock-Burrum Saints, where he was a premiership junior player in the Hume League, playing well over 150 junior games for Brock Burrum in a decade of playing as well as a handful of junior games in the Ovens and Murray Junior League.
Then from 2021 to 2023 Tallent made a seamless transition to senior football in the Hume League with his unrelenting style of football and forward craft helping Tallent make an immediate impact at senior level.
In his three years of senior football, Tallent kicked season totals of 26 in 2021, 36 in 2022 and then ultimately 60 goals in 2023, which saw him take out the Hume League runner-up leading goal kicker for that season.
Last year Tallent made the move to Ovens and Murray league club North Albury under former AFL player Tim Broomhead playing 20 games in the senior squad kicking 37 goals across seniors and reserves as well as a part of a seniors team that made their way to the preliminary finals before losing to eventual premiers Wangaratta Rovers.
Tallent will add goal-kicking depth to Berrigan who had the league’s sixth-highest leading goal-kicker Jordan Bird, with 58 goals, with the senior side finishing 10th on the ladder last season just outside the finals for the Picola league.
The signing contributes to the Berrigan side, who have started preseason trainings ahead of their round one clash against Rennie on April 5.
