Katamatite took advantage of a strong wind in the first quarter as they scored with ease.
After the quarter time break it was the Saints’ turn to try and harness the wind as they scored two goals, but not enough to match Katamatite’s output.
In the second half it was an uphill battle for the Saints, but no one could fault their effort as the Berrigan players fought to the end.
Jordan Bird dominated across the oval and he has been a revelation to the Saints this year with not only his ability to kick goals but also his unwavering work rate.
Hamish Cameron brought out some of his aggression to battle hard all day in the middle, laying big tackles and keeping his opponent at bay.
Jacob Bartlett was back for the Saints this week and used his footy smarts to spread and create space.
Brendon Jack played his best game for the Saints since he joined the cause as a mid-season recruit. His defensive knack saw him stop many Katamatite attempts.
The Saints will look to get back to winning when they take on Tocumwal this week.

The Berrigan reserves asserted their dominance over Katamatite from the first bounce as they quickly piled on goals, not letting up all game.
In a rallying win, the Saints’ ball movement was tremendous despite the strong wind and wet conditions.
Noel Baxter dominated all day as he had a heap of the footy and won clearances in the centre bounce.
Steve Morgan’s presence up forward was welcomed by his teammates as he was instrumental in setting up goals and locking it in the Saints’ forward 50.
Rob Ryan’s leadership is instrumental in any Saints win as he helps his teammates and finds plenty of the football.

The Berrigan fourths added another scintillating performance to their season as they remain undefeated after beating Katamatite by a massive 127 points.
Jordan Swann was at his goal kicking best with an unfathomable 15 goal bag for the day.
A tremendous effort for himself, and his teammates who helped him reach the incredible milestone.
Taylor Thornton was extremely tough at the contest with hard tackles and lots of pressure.
He is always expected to work hard and rarely if ever lets anyone down.
Jack Magill was everywhere, up forward, down back or in the middle as he tucked the ball under his arm bursting from stoppages.
It was a great effort by the young Saints.
