On Thursday, Toc Club Pro Marty Walsh held a very successful day of golf lessons for both seniors and juniors at Jerilderie.

Golfers were able to play an 18 hole event, with Marty playing nine holes with each group while giving instructions which was very successful.
The afternoon was then passed over to the juniors, where the 18 participants were split into three groups.
Marty was kept very busy with everyone having fun and games.
The kids are looking forward to their next lessons.
In competition golf, the medley stableford winner was Julie Sleigh, and runner-up was Heather Cameron.
Tomorrow will be medley stableford.
Tocumwal
The ladies open day was held Tuesday last week.
The two person 4BBB multiplier stableford event, sponsored by Tocumwal Skin and Beauty, was played on the captain’s course.
The winners were Denise Huy and Cheryl Hart on 98 points, to runners-up Kaye Penman and Tracey Shalders on 94 points.
NTPs: 2nd Tracey Shalders, 8th Robyn Conrick, 17th Libby Quick.
On Wednesday a large field of 109 men played stableford on the captain’s course from the white tees.

Saturday was the first round of the Global Accreditation Services Foursomes Match Play, with the rest of the field playing stableford on the president’s course.
In the foursomes, Bobette Wilkinson and Kevin Waller defeated Joan and Robert Burns; Cheryl Hart and John Henry def Shellei and Ross Clark; Val and Ray Watmore def Margaret Murphy and Shane Halloran; Jenni Corcoran and Ian Armer Jnr def Nat Beard and Bruce Cavanagh.

Friday's winner was Steve Senini (48-14-34), runner-up was Spike Salter (54-18.5-35.5).
Maria McDonnell won the putting with 14 putts and the ball winner was Peter Shand (45-8-37).
Saturday's winner was Wayne Crew (51-18-33), runner-up was John Walker (50-13.5-36.5).
Jeff Stein won the putting with 14 putts and the ball winner was Beau Wallis (47-10-37).
Sunday's winner was Beau Walliss (93-20-73), runner-up was Chris Cameron (81-5-76).
Joe Karakai won the putting with 27 putts and the ball winner was Rick Bradbury (83-7-76).
Next Sunday will be stableford with tee off at 12.30pm.
Ladies golf started last Wednesday.
The winner was Edwina Morgan on 35 points, runner-up was Marianne Whelan with 31 points.
Marianne also won the most points on the front nine holes.
Ladies golf starts at 9.30am for a 10am tee off.
You can play nine or 18 holes, which is great if you are wanting to take part in golf on a Wednesday.
All are welcome to come and enjoy a Wednesday morning on the golf course.

Finley
This week’s Ladies Barooga Sporties Stableford event was won by Margot Robertson with 39 points, on a countback from Annie Wood, also with 39 points. (Annie has a new set of golf clubs).
NTPs: 13th Margot Robertson.
Ball competition winners were: Annie Wood 39 and Kerrie Carlon with 35 stableford Points.
The men played stableford on Wednesday. With 39 points, Matt Clarke came in as the day’s winner.
NTPs: 18th Rob Daniel.
Ball competition winners were: Chick Braybon and Rob Daniel 35, along with Billy Smith who had 32 stableford points.
John Taylor came in well in front of the rest when he carded 20 stableford points as winner of the at the Nine Hole Competition on Thursday.
Ball competition winner was Rob Hawkes with 13 points.
Stableford was played in the Barooga Sporties Competition on Saturday.
Janet Delmenico, with 34 points, took home the trophy for the Women’s Division.
Barry Wilson carded 37 to accept the Men’s Division trophy.

Ball competition winners were: Leo McNamara and Rick Harris on 35 and Sue Simpson with 31 stableford points.
Coming up this Sunday is the 2023 Finley Open Tournament for both men and women. 9.30am for a 10am shotgun start.
Southern Riverina Veterans
The Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Association’s March competition day was played on Monday on the west course at the Cobram Barooga Golf Club.
Stableford was played with 105 golfers taking part.
Cobram Barooga player Greg Brooks, on 38 points, took the A-grade trophy.
Ray Watmore from Tocumwal, after countback and with 37 points, was runner-up.
Tony Hardy from Cobram Barooga had 38 points to claim B-grade, with Stephen Boyer from Yarrawonga runner-up with 35.
Geoff Ruddle from Cobram Barooga to C-grade from Geoff Portbury of Jerilderie after countback. Both finished with 36.
A-grade’s NTP went to Pat Ryan (Yarrawonga), B-grade was Ian Smithwick (Yarrawonga), C-grade went to John Taylor (Yarrawonga) and all grades was claimed by Ray Watmore (Tocumwal).
Ball competition winners were players who had 27 points or better.
