Finley Cricket Club player Sophie Urquhart has wrapped up a terrific season, finishing second in the Murray Valley Cricket Association under-15s competition for bowling.

Sophie finished the season taking 11 wickets at an average of six.
Sophie also made history becoming the first girl to make the Murray Valley Cricket Association under-15s Team of the Year, making the past season’s 2024/25 team.
The MVCA junior presentations were held last Wednesday at Club Tocumwal, with Sophie among several promising Southern Riverina juniors being recognised for exceptional seasons.
Tocumwal Cricket Club had three junior representatives recognised for their league achievements in the 2024/25 season - Lucas Baron, Chase Dickins and Tom White.
Lucas and Chase shared the honours for the bowling aggregate awards for the under-15s, with over 12 wickets each and bowling averages below 13.
Both were also selected for the under-15s team of the year.
Tom White was also recognised for Tocumwal Cricket Club, making the under-17s team of the year.

Berrigan Cricket Club had one junior cricketer, Jordan Swann, win multiple accolades.
It included the under-15s batting award, scoring 283 runs at a staggering batting average of 94.33 across the season.
Jordan was also selected for the under-15s team of the year.

Finley Cricket Club’s presentation days will be held this Sunday at the Finley Apex Sports and Community Centre, with juniors from 11.30am.
All players and their families are welcome to attend to celebrate the 2024/25 season.
Junior presentation will be followed by the senior presentation, with lunch available in between.
Lunch is set to be buffet style with slow cooked Texas style beef brisket, rosemary and garlic lamb in gravy, roast chicken with zesty lemon and mint, potato salad with egg, bacon, peas and mint, coleslaw, garden salad, crusty rolls and cheese and fruit platters.
