Again, I would like to acknowledge all our volunteers on the night for their dedication and commitment.
Thank you to Leigh Holmberg for driving ROLCO (beginner boat) and to his observer Carissa Holmberg.
Thank you to Andrew McBurnie, who was behind the wheel in GILFLITE, and to his observer Lisa Priest.
Lisa took some great photos on the night of our skiers, which can be viewed on the Deniliquin Boat Club Facebook page.
These photos show the amazing progress of our current skiers over the summer months.
Lucy Tubb, inspired by watching her dad Matt Tubb slalom ski on the Edward river, decided to give it a try herself on Friday night.
Lucy was using the boom bar to gain a feel for the water and build up her confidence.
Lucy received a Ski School award in recognition of her efforts.
We welcome Lucy and the Tubb family back to Ski School.
The second award was given to siblings Hugo and Frankie Murphy, for their ongoing endeavours and commitment at Ski School over the season.
Wakeboarding has grown in popularity as a water sport, and throughout the season, several kids have shown interest in learning.
In exciting news, David Connolly has kindly offered to launch his wake boat tonight to give both kids and adults the chance to experience wakeboarding first hand.
Those wishing to participate in wakeboarding and skiing must be a member of the Deniliquin Boat Club. Normal Ski School will also be running.
This is our second last Ski School for the season, with Friday, April 4 being our season finale.
Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page for regular updates and information.
