The nearest to the pin on the 4th was Bill Matthews, on the 6th Paul Niebling was the closest, the 12th was won by Luke Rogan and Shriley Wright was best on the 17th. The drive and pitch on the 15th went to James Fulton while the 8th stayed with the club.
The ball pool went to 33 points on a countback and included James Fulton, Don Gee, Mark Fountain, Graeme Drummond, John Muscovich and Bill Keating.
The mixed nine-hole winner was Bill Brock with a terrific 22 points.
On Thursday it was the Romsey Bowl and while Seymour could not field a women’s bowl team, Glenda Woods competed as an individual and kept up Seymour’s success. Glenda had the best individual score of the day to win A-grade with a nice 40 points.
Saturday was the monthly medal, which meant a stroke round for both the men and the women.
In the men’s results, the winner of the day and the medal was Don Gee with a good score of 92-23=71 on a countback from the runner-up, Gary Neville. The best scratch score of the day went to Mick Prorok with 77.
The nearest to the pins went to Dave Pearce on the 4th and 6th, John Muscovich on the 12th and Don Gee on the 17th. The drive and pitch on the 8th was won by John Muscovich and on the 15th it was Bill Schaeffer-Steel. The ball pool went to Josh Beattie, Mick Prorok, Damien Humphrey and Graham Kiper.
The medal winner for the women was Paula Britton with 88-14=74. The nearest to the pin on the 17th was Ricky Rickman. The ball pool went to Paula Britton and Shelley Dowling with net 77.
The third round of Sunday Pennant was a clean sweep for the three Seymour teams. The scratch team continued their positive start with a 5/0 win over Whittlesea at Trentham. The restricted handicap team went to Lancefield and defeated Trentham 4/1. The handicap team played at Woodend and had a good 3/2 win over Hidden Valley.
Next Saturday it is a stableford round for both the men and the women.
