The best score on Wednesday was in the men’s stableford competition, Matt O’Sullivan (2) scoring 41 points to win A-grade. The B-grade winner was James Bottaro (23) with 36 points.
The nearest-the-pin on the fourth was Luke Rogan, on the sixth Mick Prorok was the closest, on the 12th it was Dave Pearce and on the 17th John Boruch was the nearest.
The eagle’s nest was raided by Dave Pearce, who had an eagle on the 18th.
The ball pool went to those with 34 points or better and included Matt O’Sullivan, James Bottaro, John Boruch, Dave Hamilton, Greg Pell and Gary Wright.
The winner of the mixed nine-hole competition was Bill Brock (15) with a steady 19 points.
On Saturday, the men played a par round and new member Russell Peel (21) continued his good run with the top score of the day to win C-grade with five up.
Mick O’Donnell (10) won A-grade with a square score and the B-grade winner was Darren Cook (15) with 2 up.
The nearest-the-pins went to Roger Edwards on the fourth, Ben Davey on the sixth, Gerard Hard on the 12th and Darren Cook on the 17th. The drive and pitch on the eighth was won by Paul Niebling, and on the eighth it was Ash Barlow.
The ball pool went to Russell Peel, Darren Cook, Mick O’Donnell, Peter Nelson and Ben Davey with a score of square.
The women played a stroke round and the winner was Paula Britton with a score of 85-17=68. The nearest-the-pin on the 17th was Sophie Rilen and the ball pool went to Paula Britton, Di Byrne and Ricky Rickman with net 71.
The Friday social nine holes this week is stroke over holes one to nine. Saturday is a stableford round for the men and women.
