Division One saw its first action in the Campaspe Playing Area midweek pennant, while bowlers took to the greens for round two of weekend pennant action.

Division one
Rochester established itself as an early leader in the competition, winning all three rinks in a comprehensive defeat of Rich River 16-73 to 0-50.
Two rinks were decided by five shots or fewer in Rochy’s favour, with Kevin Hall skipping his side to a 23-18 success over Rich River counterpart Brian Trengove, while Rob Dennis got up 19-16 in his rink.
Brian Kinnane increased Rochester’s margin in the remaining rink, his 31-16 victory the biggest of the tie.
Division two
Deniliquin RSL grabbed its maiden win of the year, defeating Rochester 14-67 to 2-51.
Skips Craig Taylor and Linda Harris had big wins for Deni, securing 16- and 13-shot wins respectively.
Division three
Tongala Red took down Deniliquin RSL 14-49 to 0-34, while Moama came out on top against Lockington 12-47 to 2-41.
Echuca beat Elmore 12-48 to 2-34.
Division four
Rochy took both rinks against Tongala Red, winning 14-41 to 0-28.
Stanhope couldn’t get past Lockington, going down 2-31 to 12-39 and Rich River scraped through against Echuca by a single shot, 12-40 to 2-39.
Weekend
Division one
Rochester fell at the hands of Echuca, going down 2-47 to 14-64 at Echuca Bowls Club.
Skip Richard Feuk earned the sole rink success for Rochy, his quartet of Francis Keech (lead), Rob Dennis (second), and Robert Clayton (third) earning points for the visitor 19-16.
Steve Cunnington grabbed the biggest win of the tie for Echuca, skipping his side to a 16-13 triumph, while Ian Page also won his rink, 22-15, for Echuca.
Division two
Rochester faced a similar fate in Division Two, Echuca taking their tie 14-62 to 2-55.
The benefit of home greens didn’t reverse fortunes for Rochy compared to its Division One counterparts, with Echuca skips Trevor Nagorcka and Matthew Brighton each picking up wins.
Kevin Hall skipped Rochy to victory 23-19 in his rink, ensuring Rochy walked away with some of the points.
Division three
Lockington was well beaten by Moama Black, going down in all three rinks to fall 16-73 to 0-57.
Rochester came up short against Rich River, a big win to Roger Teasdale helping his side to a 14-56 to 2-43 win.
Elmore struggled against Moama Green, losing by a healthy margin, 16-83 to 0-37.
Division four
In Division Four, Lockington was within striking distance in all three rinks against Stanhope, but went down across the board in a 16-63 to 0-47 defeat.
Division five
Locky snared a win in Division Five, sneaking by Stanhope by two shots, 12-39 to 2-37.
Echuca proved too strong for Rochester, taking both rinks to win 14-59 to 0-23.
