The first half saw the Roar contend with a persistent headwind, with two early goals from the Diamonds adding to the hosts’ woes.
Despite some strong defensive pressure and several chances on goal, half-time saw the Roar behind by two.
With the second half under way, a header from a corner by Roar full back Florian Dambricourt broke the drought for the hosts to take the scoreline to 1-2.
The Roar have continued their winning streak with another victory at home.

It wasn’t long before a deadly strike from 25 yards out off the boot of Clement Perot saw the Roar break even at 2-2.
Whether it was due to their momentum or down to a mesmerising bicycle kick from Roar skipper Bill Puckett late in the second half, the home side unloaded attack after attack into their forward half as the clock ticked down to full time with still no definitive result.
But in the eleventh hour, the ball found the back of the net off the head of Puckett from another corner kick.
The full time whistle saw the Roar take the victory 3-2 over Wodonga.
Next week, the Roar faces bottom-placed Wodonga Heart at Apex Park next Sunday, April 13, with kick-off at 3pm.
