The club’s 52nd AGM will start at 11am in the clubhouse.
It has been a challenging year for the club, which recovered from COVID disruptions only to be hit with last year’s devastating floods.
It will take a big effort to get the club back on its feet and the board’s pathway to this is sure to be outlined on Sunday.
On the course, last Thursday the ladies had a stableford event, won in A-grade by Carol Hardman with 40 points from Pauline Davis 39, while in B-grade the winner was Jane Glowrey with 42 points from runner-up Jayne Hood 37.
Saturday was also stableford and a big score was needed to take the winner’s prize in each grade.
Andrew ‘Taffy’ Brunker had a day out with 43 points to win A-grade from runner-up Leigh Chappell 39, B-grade winner was Rob Armytage 43 by a shot to runner-up Col Thompson 42, and in C-grade Des Ramsey had 44 points to win easily from runner-up Prue Chalmers 36.
On Wednesday the A-grade winner was Sean McCambridge with 37 points from runner-up Tony Tonta 35, and in B-grade Rob Sobolewski had 39 to defeat runner-up Geoff ‘Zorro’ Bessell 36.
Coming up we have stableford tomorrow, a three-person ambrose and the Christmas Party for ladies nine holes players on Tuesday, and stableford on Wednesday.
Next Thursday is versus par, and Saturday will be stroke for the monthly medals.
Friday Night Fun is on tonight.
