Rich River Croquet Club kicked off its 2024/25 season with its annual ‘Running of the Hoop’ event on Tuesday, August 6.

The club has a busy schedule for the forthcoming season. The Golf Croquet Pennant competition begins at the end of August and continues until November.
Two teams of four will go head-to-head against seven other clubs in the Goulburn Valley croquet competition.
The club will hold its annual Charity Day event on Thursday, August 22. The money raised will go to Echuca Moama Projects’ Christmas Dinner, which is for vulnerable and lonely people in the community.
Rich River Croquet Club has about 50 members, with a third participating in the pennant season.
Golf Croquet meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and association players meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The club will have a come-and-try day in October where beginners or people looking to join can come and have a hit and be taught the game.
Rich River Croquet Club secretary Margaret Kennedy was thrilled to begin a new season for social and competitive players.
“We are all very excited to start the season. It’s really good for the people who love the competition side and the social aspects,” she said.
