The coach’s award went to Ben McDonald, whose maturity this season impressed teammates and the coaching group.
Jack concluded the Red team presentation with a special MVCA award to Daniel Burn, who scored a 50 retired and a 48 during the 2024/2025 Country Week carnival as the MVCA under-13s captain.
Under-15s
Coach Ross Campion started his presentation by thanking all the players and families for their contributions to the team throughout the season, and to the Rhinos for maintaining the grounds and facilities.
He also thanked team manager Jo Burn for all the work she did leading up to the season for all the junior teams, and for her coordination of the team and communications to families through the season.
While the under-15s didn’t have a successful season on the field, there were a number of significant individual improvements which Ross highlighted.
Three players played both under-13 and under-15 games each week, and Ross made special mention of Daniel Burn, Tom Marshall and Jacob Holschier, who trained hard and played both grades regularly.
For the individual awards, Fletcher Campion received the batting award with 120 runs and an average of 20.
Darcy Finn received the bowling award with six wickets and an average of 23.
For overall improvement, including a spectacular catch taken during one of the matches, Fred Everett received the fielding award.
Ross gave his coach’s award to Archie Beehag, who made steady improvement throughout the season, almost helping the Rhinos to an improbable win in their final match with a fantastic measured innings of 15 not out.
Under-15s team manager Jo Burn made a special presentation to the team’s “super scorer” Janice Holschier, who stepped up in her skill level and accuracy throughout the season.
