Deni’s Hamish Baker and Charlie McCallum played for Barooga in the MVCA under-17s semi-final against Cobram, at Barooga, on Sunday.
They joined the Barooga team when the Rhinos did not have the numbers to field a local team this season.

Barooga kept the Cobram side to a low-scoring effort with the ball, taking a wicket in the first over, leaving Cobram, 1/0.
McCallum and Baker bowled first change for Barooga, with the score 2/14.
Both players bowled tightly, keeping the Cobram batters quiet.
McCallum finished with the figures of 0/4 off four overs, with two maidens.
Meanwhile, Baker did damage with the ball in his second spell, cleaning up the Cobram lower-order.
Baker ended the innings with figures of 5/13 off eight overs, with two maidens.
This included a double wicket maiden in the 38th over, achieving a five wicket tally in a semi-final.
The pair helped Barooga bowl Cobram all out for 108 after 40 overs.

In reply, chasing a tricky total, Crue Lucas and McCallum top-scored for Barooga.
The batters put together an important 65-run partnership.
