Three generations of Kyabram’s Schubach family were in the Hurley’s Hotel team which recently won the Merrigum District Pool Competition’s B-grade grand final.
In the Hurley’s Hotel team, which won with a 5-2 scoreline against the Tatura Top Pub, were Garry Schubach, his son Matt and Matt’s son Nate.
The Hurley’s team of Shane Bordingnon, Jason Norman, John Sanderson, Nate Schubach, Matt Schubach, Darren Baird, Ali Doolan and Garry Schubach has been playing together for a number of years.
Baird has been in the team for a few years while Norman has been a fill-in over the years.
It was Sanderson’s first season, along with Bordingnon and Doolan, who are ‘new’ to Hurley’s team but previously played for the team.
The team members thanked Brenton Sheppard at Hurley’s for his support again and over the years and hopes it can continue many years to come.
