Due to the circuit breaker lockdown announced on May 27, the preliminary finals scheduled for last Sunday were unable to play out.
The league’s presentation night also planned for May 30 did not eventuate.
After consultation with member clubs, NCWL advisory committee has landed on June 20 as the new date for preliminary finals to be hosted at Tatura Park.
Nathalia will take on Benalla at 1pm before the Echuca-Tatura bout at 3pm.
The presentation night and vote count will be held later that day, scheduled for 6.30pm at The Peppermill Hotel.
Winners then advance to the grand final staged on June 27 at 2.30pm, also at Tatura Park.
However, with Victoria’s state of affairs regarding lockdown still tentative going forward, NCWL operations manager Sam Wood said the dates could shift once more.
“The benefit of starting our NCWL season earlier than previous years has allowed us to be flexible with our dates,” Wood said.
“This means we are in the fortunate position of only having to reschedule three games instead of multiple rounds.
“We understand this is uncertain times with the situation developing daily.
“These dates may be subject to change based around advice from AFL Victoria and the state government. The aim of the NCWL advisory committee is to be successful in the completion of the season and to be one of the first country leagues in the state to award a premier.”
