A stroke monthly medal was run and won with some excellent scores returned.
The day’s best round went to Murchison golfer and the ever consistent Don Hughes with 87-18-69.
Since his return this summer, Hughes has yet to be outside the top five or six scores each week with this week’s total good enough to take home the Seymour Club match day voucher.
The monthly medal went to Phil Hageman with a 88-18-70 having collected a whole host of trophies at last week’s presentation night. Phil is at it again with this result qualifying him for the gold medal play-off in October.
The next best was three scores all on nett 72 — they were in countback order Ben Cassar, Dean Brown and Jim Ewart.
The nearest the pin prizes went to Phil Hageman with a majestic strike on the eighth, Jeremy Ezard taking out the 13th and Lindsay Hall with a first-rate stroke to the 16th.
This week’s event is a three-man ambrose with the summer tee time of 8am to 8.30am, on office duty is B. Leviston and in the bar is C. Roberts.
