The Jets booted four goals in the last term, running away with a 40-point win over Murray in the NAB League girls’ encounter at Wangaratta's Cathedral College.
The inexperienced Bushrangers, who were without eight of their regular starters, were unable to run out the round four contest.
Shepparton United trio Aurora Smith, Molly Kennedy and Keeley Skepper were shining lights in the 2.5 (17) to 8.9 (57) defeat.
Bushies assistant coach Mario de Santa-ana highlighted the lack of experience for the outfit fading out late in the match.
“At three-quarter time we thought we still had a chance,” he said.
“But that lack of experience and ability to run a game out hurt us and it was the difference in the end.
“We dominated inside 50s in the opening half, but we just couldn't convert our chances. And they really got motoring in the second half.
“It was still pleasing to see the younger players get a chance of game time and we saw some strong performances from the older group as well.”
Smith was excellent on the wing, collecting 23 disposals and five inside 50s, while Skepper worked tirelessly in the midfield.
The Benalla product finished with 20 touches, six tackles, six inside 50s and four rebound 50s.
And Kennedy recorded 10 disposals and 10 bruising tackles at centre half-back.
“Aurora and Keeley were both standouts and it was nice to see them continue their great run of form,” de Santa-ana said.
“It was a super effort from the pair, which is three strong games in a row now and that consistency is what catches the eye of onlookers.
“Molly also played a terrific game, she was really physical and laid 10 tackles. And Seymour's Chloe (Locke) was strong down back again, she has been another who has been super consistent this season.”
The Bushies sit out this weekend with the bye and will return to action on March 13 for their round six clash against GWS Giants Academy.
