The ladder leaders flexed their muscles against the Bushies to run out 12.12 (84) to 8.5 (53) victors at Echuca's Victoria Park.
Shepparton Swan Josh Rachele battled hard with 21 disposals and seven tackles, while Shepparton United's Kade Chalcraft found plenty of the footy and finished with 29 touches, five inside 50s and four rebound 50s.
The pair was named in Murray's list of top performers.
The round seven contest was one of two under-19 boys games played on Sunday, with Victoria's COVID-19 restrictions only allowing juniors under the age of 18 to play competitive sport in regional areas.
Murray made a dozen changes to its side from the previous round's memorable win over Oakleigh Charges, with restrictions not permitting top-age players to pull on the boots.
While two players were selected in the recent AFL mid-season draft.
“We made 12 changes to our side (due to player ages), but Bendigo were in the same boat too,” Bushrangers coach Mark Brown said.
“They worked harder than us and were hungrier than us. I thought they had ascendency for the four quarters.
“Their transition, both offensively and defensively was much better. We fumbled the ball and weren't clean which didn't help.
“There were some positives there, but the bad far outweighed the good and that's now the challenge for us going forward.”
The Bushrangers were talk of the town last week following the mid-season draft, with three players from the system finding a spot on an AFL list.
Albury's Pat Parnell and Daniel Turner were joined by former Bushranger and Seymour export Sam Durham.
“From our point of view, it was fantastic to have those boys get drafted,” Brown said.
“To have three come out of the pathway is a sort of vindication for the club and it's just great reward for effort to those boys.
“Sam has done exceptional work since leaving the Bushrangers, he has put in the hard work and stuck at it in the VFL.
“And having two players get selected after playing NAB League two weeks ago is an instant reminder of what can be achieved for the rest of the group.”
Meanwhile, Shepparton Swans teenager Max Clohesy made his first appearance for the Bushrangers and “didn't look out of his depth” according to Brown.
Shepparton duo Achoung Agog (two goals) and Matt Pellegrino (one) performed strongly up forward.
It is yet to be announced if or who Murray will play this weekend.
