An entire starting line-up's worth of players have joined The Road's A and B-grade squad, with coach Ash Warren excited to see so many new faces among the group.
It will give the side the platform it needs to lift its targets from just making finals to having a strong say in them.
“I think it will be a very strong season for Congupna,” Warren said.
“But we'll be just keen to get out there. The first three or four training sessions all the girls wanted to do was to play games of netball between ourselves because they missed it so much.”
Steph Said (Undera), Sam Rennie, Steph Hicks (Tatura), Morgan Zotti (Seymour), Shae Montgomery (Tallygaroopna), Julie Kildey (Shepparton Swans) and Britt Ditterich (Woorinen) are heading to Memorial Park, with Sophie Sidebottom and Meg Semmens back on deck as well.
“Pre-season has been a bit staggered,” Warren said.
“But we were able to finalise our teams before (lockdown three in Victoria), so we came out of it with good focus.
“We're bringing in lots of GVL experience and lots of younger girls, but players like Britt bring so much wisdom and experience and that's really helping to develop the younger girls too.”
Congupna also has a new netball president this year in Sarah Newman.
