The ongoing outbreak in Shepparton and continued lockdowns in both NSW and Victoria meant the season couldn't be salvaged.

A statement from the league sent out the not just after 7.30pm on Thursday to confirm the season would end without a premiership decided.
"The Murray FNL’s number one priority has always been the safety and wellbeing of our communities," the league said.
"Our Clubs rely on these communities for supporters, players, umpires, officials and volunteers.
"The Murray FNL Executive has made the decision not to award Premiership trophies and medals for season 2021. However, Minor Premiers, Best and Fairest and other individual awards will be recognised at a date to be determined."
The league thanked sponsors, committees, players, volunteers and supporters for their patience, and said every option had been explored to get back onto the field and courts.
"The Murray FNL Executive also acknowledge the Club Presidents for their trust and input. The collaborative approach and understanding have ensured the Murray FNL remains strong and united in this difficult time," the league said.
