Murph sets sights on Shield

Murphy has already been in action for Victoria in the Marsh One-Day Cup, returning figures of 0-32 and 1-42 in victories over Tasmania and New South Wales.

“After making two Marsh Sheffield Shield finals over the past couple of years, we are excited to get the red-ball season under way and build on a strong pre-season campaign,” Cricket Victoria’s Head of Male Cricket, David Hussey said.

“Coming off the back of two victories in the Marsh One-Day Cup, we feel we have a well-balanced squad to take to Western Australia.”

Murphy’s return to the Sheffield Shield comes after Test series against England and India.

The first ball at the WACA will be bowled at 1.30pm AEST and will be broadcast on Fox Footy and Kayo.
