Mulwala 44 defeated Barooga 24.
It was a steady start for the A Grade girls. With scores even at half time, the Lions fought hard and came out with a strong 20 goal win.
Lara played a fantastic game in defence, Hollie shot well over the four quarters and Tayce (the young lion) played hard and caused many turn overs.
Awards: Yarrawonga Pilates – Holly McNamara, Seeliger Real Estate – Lara Langford and Mulwala Bakery – Tayce Gallagher.
B Grade
Mulwala 46 defeated Barooga 35.
The girls were in for a tough match against Barooga. The first quarter was a slow start by the Lions girls. The second quarter was much better with the strong defensive pressure from Leah, Freya and Mikayla and a chance in goals with Emma-Jane.
This is what they needed before commencing the second half superbly. They found space, drove with strong leads, kept up the defensive pressure and attacked and fought hard until the final whistle coming out on top.
It was a lovely whole team effort.

C Grade
Mulwala 42 defeated by Barooga 66.
The C Grade girls had a fantastic game this week. They all worked so hard for the ball and worked amazingly as a team.
The defence worked really hard to keep the scores close but unfortunately walked away with a loss. Well done regardless girls.

C Reserve
Mulwala 25 defeated by Barooga 64.
Well done Saturday girls. Everyone put in so much effort and everyone stepped up to play an excellent game of netball. Barooga were a really good team and came out with the win.
Awards: Miss Dolly – Abbi Ferg, Mulwala Bakery – Lauren Campbell and Publicans Daughter – Kat Jamieson.
Under 17s
Mulwala 22 defeated by Barooga 36.
The girls came out firing with great drives from Polly and Jess in goals, partnering with Chloe, Maya and Hannah in mid court.
With determination, the girls worked hard all game with lots of promise for the next game. Barooga was too good in the end winning the game by 4 points.
Awards: One Zach – Chloe Burgess, Mulwala Bakery – Polly McRae and Thursday Night Dinner – Jess Lineham.
Under 15s
Mulwala 19 defeated by Barooga 33
The Lions were keen to get on the court this week. The Under 15s started strong and continued this for the whole game. It was great to see the team with fire in their belly.
Milla and Ruby T were amazing in defence, they made the shooters earn each goal.
Jemma was moving well in goals. Abbi again showed her versatility and worked hard all game.
The whole team should be proud of how they played and not be disheartened by the loss.

Under 13s
Mulwala 35 defeated Barooga 5.
Great win by the young Lions. Moving the ball through the entire court with strong leads and confident shooting by a variety of combinations. A depth of options will be a value when it comes to finals. Awesome effort girls.
Awards: Mulwala Bakery- Charli Taylor, Paradise Palms- Ava Cox and South of the Border Eatery- Charli Ewert.
Under 11s
The girls had a fantastic game working together beautifully and putting into play skills and strategies practiced during the week. All defensive and attacking combinations worked fabulously.
A rewarding result for all the hard work and teamwork they have done during the season.
