The sun was shining, and spirits were high as students lined up nervously for their first events.
The sound of the starter echoed throughout the town as students dived into the water, determined to reach the end first.
The school's sub-junior students enjoyed a day filled with fun, arriving at the pool in Hawaiian-themed outfits.
They showcased their dance moves before taking part in various novelty events and races across the pool.
Many of the younger students demonstrated their swimming skills, with six and seven year olds completing a full lap of the 25m pool.
The smiles and laughter were a testament to the excitement and entertainment enjoyed by all.
Sportsmanship was a key theme of the day, and MPS students truly rose to the occasion.
It was heartening to see so many students supporting and cheering for one another throughout the events.
A special award was presented to Blake Harris, who received a 'Certificate of Sportsmanship' for being an exemplary role model to his peers.
The presence of a large crowd of cheering parents and grandparents added to the excitement as they supported their children during the events.
