Nothing could stop Moama’s under-15 side as it dissected Mulwala to claim the flag on Saturday morning.

It was a tight contest between the first and second-ranked sides in the first quarter.
While Moama looked in control, their swift passing made it easy to get inside the circle, and they could only eke out a four-goal lead at quarter time.
The second period proved more fruitful for the Magpies, who quickly attacked, piling on 13 goals for the quarter while their defence did their job, limiting Mulwala to just six.
A stronger third term from Mulwala forced Moama to focus on turning defence into offence, with centre Tiana Knight feeding a hungry Diaz Agg, who was shooting the lights out.
With a quarter remaining, the Magpies were in the driver’s seat, and the disparity between the two sides was now 12 goals.
While Moama only scored 10 in the final frame, their lowest score for the match was that of Mulwala, who also equalled their lowest score (six) and thus fell well short of catching the Magpies.
The final score was Moama 45 to Mulwala 29.
Moama Coach Leesa Hoopell said that while her side started shaky, they were in control once they were in the game's flow.
“We started pretty nervous, but once we settled into the game, the girls were stellar,” said coach Leesa Hooppell.
“We stuck to our game plan, and all the girls played their part beautifully.”
The under-15 Magpies will relish the win over the off-season and shift focus to complete an under-15 three-peat in 2025.
