Moama and Stanhope sit atop the weekend pennant ladder as the only undefeated sides with two rounds played

Rochester fell at the hands of Echuca, going down 2-47 to 14-64 at Echuca Bowls Club.
Skip Richard Feuk earned the sole rink success for Rochy, his quartet of Francis Keech (lead), Rob Dennis (second), and Robert Clayton (third) earning points for the visitor 19-16.
Steve Cunnington grabbed the biggest win of the tie for Echuca, skipping his side to a 16-13 triumph, while Ian Page also won his rink, 22-15, for Echuca.
Tongala escaped with overall points against Rich River, 12-54 to 4-51, thanks to the heroics of skip Glenn Fields.
Fields’s rink went 19-11 the way of Tonny, enough to eclipse 19-18, and 21-17 wins for Rich River’s Peter Nesbitt and Keith Hewitt respectively.
Moama had a huge result over Mathoura, dominantly taking all three rinks in a 16-92 to 0-40 victory.
Rodney Werner’s foursome scored a massive 40 shots to 14, defeating Mathoura skip Ricky Ireland.
Fellow Moama skips Geoffrey Beattie and Robert Young also had big wins.
In a match featuring large rink margins for both sides, Stanhope came out ahead against Deniliquin, 14-63 to 2-53.
The battle of the match-up was between Stanhope skip Gregory Fitzpatrick and Deni’s Simon Chisholm, Fitzpatrick’s squad edging the rink by a single shot 20-19.
In the other rinks, Stanhope’s Timothy Hancock and Deniliquin’s Stephen O’Brien each logged double-digit wins for their sides.
Division Two
Rochester faced a similar fate in Division Two, Echuca taking the tie 14-62 to 2-55.
The benefit of home greens didn’t reverse fortunes for Rochy compared to its Division One counterparts, with Echuca skips Trevor Nagorcka and Matthew Brighton each picking up wins.
Kevin Hall skipped Rochy to victory 23-19 in his rink, ensuring Rochy walked away with some of the points.
Tongala picked up the points against Rich River, 14-57 to 2-52 in a remarkable match-up.
Two of the rinks ended drawn, Tonny’s Noel West and Kelvin Walsh fighting Brian Trengove and Dennis Demeo respectively to a standstill.
The deciding rink was between Rich River skip Norm Hodge and Tongala’s Connor Trewren, and it was Trewren’s contingent that managed to pull out the victory, securing the rink, and the match for Tonny, 20-15.
Deni RSL snuck by Moama by just two shots, 14-66 to 2-64.
Remarkably RSL managed to score 22 shots in all three rinks, good enough for wins in two, with Ben Franklin skipping the only Moama side to surpass that total.
Stanhope got by Deniliquin, despite losing two of the three rinks.
Skip Andrew Morris made an impact for Stanny, his squad’s 26-19 triumph overturning wins for Deni skips Glenn Thomson and Robert Morris.
Division Three
Lockington was well beaten by Moama Black, going down in all three rinks to fall 16-73 to 0-57.
Echuca scored big against Mathoura, picking up more than 30 shots in two rinks to win 14-84 to 2-43.
Rochester came up short against Rich River, a big win to Roger Teasdale helping his side to a 14-56 to 2-43 win.
Elmore struggled against Moama Green, losing by a healthy margin, 16-83 to 0-37.
In a local showdown, Deni RSL prevailed over Deniliquin 14-61 to 2-55.
Division four
In Division Four, Lockington was within striking distance in all three rinks against Stanhope, but went down across the board in a 16-63 to 0-47 defeat.
Echuca was far too strong for Ky Valley View, knocking on the door of scoring 100 shots as tit took the match 16-95 to 0-34.
Tongala also won all three rinks, defeating Rich River 16-71 to 0-59.
The result between Moama and Mathoura wasn’t yet available.
Division Five
Locky snared a win in Division Five, sneaking by Stanhope by two shots, 12-39 to 2-37.
Echuca proved too strong for Rochester, taking both rinks to win 14-59 to 0-23.
Deniliquin defeated Elmore, 12-58 to 2-33.
The score between Moama and Deni RSL was not yet recorded.
