Lee Pattinson’s rink with Mike Donohue, Winnie Pattinson and the evergreen Lloyd Ritchie prevailed by three shots, while Mark Law’s side of Terry Boyer, Mick Atley and Tim Dover were defeated 20 shots to 14.
The team was still certainly in overall contention however, especially when the combination of Keith Hay (skip), Alan Hardcastle, Robyn Little and Craig Hillier led by six shots with only three ends to play.
But they conceded eight shots thereafter sadly, resulting in the overall five shot defeat.
