Cobram Cricket Club held its 2024/25 season presentation night on Friday, March 21.

It was an evening to celebrate the many milestones and achievements of the club’s members over the season, one which saw the A-grade side take a back-to-back premiership and promising young talents step up to the plate.
Manny Artavilla was named the 19th Life Member of the Cobram Cricket Club for his contributions over many years.
Artavilla also became the fourth person in the club’s history to reach 200 A-grade appearances in round 8 of the 2024/25 season.
Shaun Downie won A-grade best-and-fairest with 17 votes.
Downie also took out the A-grade batting award for the best batting average from the season (426 runs @ 60.86), while Jeremy Baden was the most consistent A-grade bowler with 26 wickets @ 12.46.
Jeremy Baden claimed a five wicket award (5-28 v Barooga) and a bowling award.

The Rising Star Award, presented to a young talent, went to Lenny Power.

A-grade captain Jimmy Daniel was this season’s Club Champion with 488 points, followed by Hunter Hardwidge and Shaun Downie on an equal 444 points.

Hardwidge cleaned up with best-and-fairest in the B-grade, alongside a five wicket award (5-13 v Katamatite), a hatrick, the batting award (296 runs @ 37) and bowling award (22 wickets @ 9.77).
In the C-grade, Sukhdeep Singh took out best-and-fairest and the batting award (178 runs @ 22.25), and Matt Betts received the bowling award (seven wickets @ 17.57).

Jaxon Webb was named under-17s best-and-fairest on 10 votes.
Victoria Artavilla-Bennett was named Club Person of the Year.
Meanwhile, the award for Junior Club Person of the Year went to Blake Power.
