He took the number one prize from Noel Swainger, who could be considered unlucky having also recorded 73 points, but beaten on countback.
In third place was Josh Hunt with an aggregate 71 points, and fourth was Liam Pitts with 70.
There were four grades on each day.
On Saturday the A grade winner was Nathan Maxwell with 37 points from runner-up Barry Barlow 36; B grade was Andrew Smeaton 38 from runner-up Colin Drummond 34; C grade Marg Rothwell 41 from runner-up Bob Landy 36; and D grade Graham Flanagan 44 from runner-up Kris Priest 35.

Last Thursday there was a stableford event, with 18 and 9 hole competitions. The 18 hole winner was Sarah Young with 41 points from runner-up Prue Lloyd 37, and the 9 hole winner was Rae Lawrence 18, from runner-up Jennifer Adamson 17.
Wednesday again attracted a big field with more than 80 players in the stabelford event, playing in three grades. A grade winner was Peter Oddy with 38 points on countback to Barry Barlow; B grade David Connolly 37 from runner-up David Dudding 34; and C grade Stephen Townsend 41 from runner-up Lee Pattinson 39.
Junior golfers are reminded that clinics with professional Jody Fleming start today and continue next Friday. Lessons for primary aged children from 8 years upwards will be held from 9am on both days, with lessons for high school students from 10.30am. Cost is $10 per person per day.
Any juniors who want to start learning golf, or those who want to fine-tune their game, are encouraged to participate. On both days, individual half hour lessons will also be available from 1pm to 3.30pm, payable on the day.
Coming up we have a stroke event tomorrow for the monthly medals, Tuesday is 9 holes stableford, then we have stableford events next Wednesday, Thursday (9 and 18 holes) and Saturday.
Don’t forget Friday Night Fun at the club tonight, with raffle tickets on sale at 6pm for draws at 7pm, and happy hour from 6pm to 7pm.
