The win has lifted the Redbacks out of last place, with Matt Gilmour (35) and Tyler Oliver (22) also contributing in the first innings.
Some class bowling from Tom Morris (5-21) and Harney (3-4) decimated BLU, who was all out for 85, with number 10 Brett Mundie (34 not out) the only notable scorer.
In a top-two clash that went down to the wire, Echuca (4-158) proved it is still the team to beat come finals, prevailing over Stanhope (6-156).
Luke Twynstra (64) and Jonathan Pearson (46) made the Lions’ total competitive with Nick Dolan (3-40) limiting the damage.
However, class knocks from Connor Shannon (60) and Dolan (37) broke the back of the chase that was completed in just under 35 overs.
Moama’s (8-123) season ended with it falling to Rushworth (3-124), guaranteeing the side the wooden spoon for 2024-25.
A fighting knock from Matthew Watt (45) and a late surge by Luke Dinan (21 not out) meant Moama remained competitive while Joshua Newton (3-22) and Thomas Stevens (3-18) ran wild.
Jake Perry (47 not out) and Jak McMillan (29 not out) got the job done for the Tigers in a tick below 24 overs.
Colbinabbin (100) fell just 30 runs short of an upset victory over Ky Fire Brigade (130) in the final round.
Trevor Watts (35) and Lachlan Carver (28) dragged their side to a reasonable total while Jack Teasdale had a day out, taking 5-24.
Meanwhile, Charles Ryan’s score of 38 was the only score of note in the losing campaign with Wil Harrison (3-10) leading the Flames’ bowling attack.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade Shield
Cooma (7-179) has continued its strong march towards the B-grade Murray flag after dominating Girgarre (61) in the last round before finals.
Hunter Fawcett’s dominant 102 led the way for the visitors with Ethan Palma-Ludeman (40) playing an important supporting role.
Steven Phillips was the standout player for Girgarre, with the most wickets (4-33) and runs (48) in a losing battle.
Rochester (3-62) had minimal issues cruising to victory over Nondies-Cohuna (60) in their match-up.
Gregory Moorhouse (19) was essentially the only retaliation to Rochester’s bowling attack, led by Alice Caldow (3-19) and Judd Cuttriss (3-17).
Meanwhile, Matthew Harrington’s 23 not out and Cale James’ 18 was essentially all that was required to get the win.
A whirlwind knock by Scott Lucas (42 not out) meant that Leitchville-Gunbower (2-74) was able to chase down Echuca South (9-72) in a little more than 10 overs.
The Swans struggled from the get-go, with Kaydn Blachford’s 25 not out dragging them to 72, while Kaleb Quinn (5-19) took a bag of wickets.
It was then Lucas, with Matthew Pollock (19 not out) in support, who wrapped things up quickly for L-G.
In a game that lasted just 39 overs in total, Tongala (6-74) put Moama (71) to the sword at home.
Captain James Simpson (13) was the highest scorer in a team full of starts for Moama as Callum Tucker (3-9) and Jesse Jackman (3-17) cleaned up.
Kade Northausen (29) and Ryan Smith (15) were the ones to steer the Blues to victory.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
Ky Fire Brigade’s (8-219) substantial score was too much for Echuca (8-147), who fell well short in the sides’ encounter.
Contributions from Brenton Sheppard (62), Sam Vick (55) and Brodie Boal-Ryan (49) led to the formidable total.
In Echuca’s innings, Jamie Scott (37) and Liam Beasley (37) both got going, but an all-round bowling effort meant they fell well short.
After rolling Elmore for 46, it took less than 10 overs and no wickets lost for Stanhope (0-47) to secure victory.
Zack Holmberg (10) was the only player to score double digits in a batting order ravaged by the Lions’ bowling, led by Brodie Mulcahy (3-7).
Meanwhile, Stanhope openers Josh Densley (18 not out) and Wade Foley (25 not out) guided their side home.
Girgarre (8-99) scraped over the line against Cooma (97) after bowling it out for cheap.
In Cooma’s innings, Nicolai Henery (31) did the heavy lifting while Anthony Anderson took 3-9.
It was Isaiah Scoble (26) who propelled the Kangaroos far enough in front early to put them over the top.
BLU’s (9-188) big score gave it a leg up against Echuca South (9-110) in the pair’s contest.
Unbeaten knocks by Jason Turner (53 not out) and Travis Mancer (41 not out) gave the home side a good total to defend.
Jordan Hutton’s knock of 48 didn’t stop the rest of the Swans from falling to ravenous bowling by Gideon Flett (6-16).
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
Four of Stanhope’s (1-252) top five batters made half-centuries to bury Tongala (114).
Jayke Fisher (52), Kian Verrall (50), Thomas Hepburn (50) and Lachlan West (52) all had good stints with the bat.
Glenn Chantler (52) was the only Tonny batter to make any inroads as Cooper Fisher took 5-11.
Echuca (7-95) has narrowly beaten Moama (7-95) in its contest at Brick Alley.
Taj Maddox’s (20) knock at number three was the highest Echuca could muster in its chase of Moama’s total headlined by Finn Murphy’s 32.
Rushworth (2-114) triumphed over BLU (113) in their meeting at Rochester Secondary College.
Darrel Holgate (54 not out) kept it together for the Lions while Bradie Chillingsworth took 4-12.
The partnership between Peter Raglus (48) and Jac Barrett (41 not out) was enough to get the Tigers over the line.
