Another round of lower grades Goulburn Murray Cricket has come and gone, with plenty of starring performances down the final stretch of the season.

Kyabram Fire Brigade got the win over Rusworth by 28 runs, despite being bowled out in the first innings.
Lachlan Carver made 44 to top score for the Flames, while Barry McLeod supported well with 36 as their side set 157, bowled out in the 39th over.
Regan Hanson was in sparkling form for Rushworth, taking 5-16.
When it was the Tigers’ turn to bat, there just wasn’t an anchor to build the innings around, opener Thomas Stevens scoring highest with 22.
Rikki Busch matched Hanson’s five-wicket haul in the previous innings, taking 5-32 as the Flames got Rushworth nine down for 129 before the Tigers ran out of balls.
Leader Echuca had little trouble against Colbinabbin, dismissing the Ducks for 57.
Bailey White’s 22 looked heroic compared to the rest of the Colbo batting order, Harry Kennedy-Ripon Echuca’s leader with the ball taking 4-20.
Colbinabbin did take five wickets as Echuca hunted the total, three going to Hamish Hooppell (3-9), but Echuca did enough to get comfortably home, Rhys Varcoe’s 27 at the top setting a solid platform.
Stanhope proved too strong for Bamawm-Lockington United, chasing down the Lions 117.
Thomas Dicker (30) top-scored at number eight for BLU, while Bradd Stewart (3-23) was Stanhope’s leader with the ball.
Stanhope didn’t rely on any one player in the chase, Hamish Stewart’s 29 the top score, but Stanhope reached the target on five wickets down.
No bowler stood out for the Lions, Kade Pearse (2-11) and Braydee Hutchins (2-20) each taking two wickets.
Elmore doomed Moama to a bottom two finish after one of the more remarkable pieces of batting in the competition this season.
Moama had set 129 for the Redbacks to chase, Duane Johns the top-scorer with 35.
Four Elmore bowlers took two wickets in a balanced attack.
After being given a life early, James Harney entered at number three for Elmore and belted 100 not out of his side’s 133-run total.
Supported by Jack Morris (23 not-out), Harney sealed the win and brought up his century with an emphatic six, drawing the Redbacks level on points with their opposition at the foot of the table.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade Shield
The table couldn’t be closer at this stage, all sides still in the finals hunt and positions three to eight all within a game of each other.
Cooma continues to roll at the top, setting an unassailable 8-197 against Rochester.
Cooper Fawcett (50) brought up a half-century, Liam Scopelliti (42) also batting well.
In the Rochester response, Craig Williams and Cale James (both 32) made strong contributions, but their side wasn’t able to make a run at the total, finishing at 8-150.
Girgarre did enough to chase down Moama, getting home by two wickets.
Matthew Palmer batted well for Moama, making 47 before he was run out, while Jett Guiney was the leader with the ball for the Kangaroos, taking 3-8.
Steven Phillips dominated the chase, smashing 10 fours and four sixes on his way to 102 not out from 84 balls.
Jonathon Sherritt (45) contributed most of the remaining runs, while Jamie Horkings (3-34) was useful with the ball for the beaten Moama.
Echuca South earned the win over Tongala, chasing down the 142 required with four wickets in hand.
Batting first, Braith Northausen was the leader for Tonny, making 52 unbeaten.
The Swans’ Ben Walker grabbed 3-29 with the ball to help restrict the Blues to 141.
Grady Smith (46 not-out) batted well with the Swans, while Walker followed up his bowling performance with 35 to help his side home.
After being dismissed for 117, Nondies-Cohuna rolled through Leitchville-Gunbower for 102 to score a 15-run victory.
Matthew Robinson was the only significant run-scorer in Nondies’ total, Matthew Pollock earning a five-wicket haul for L-G.
No batter could eclipse 20 in the L-G run chase, while Logan Higgs 3-15 was Nondies’ best bowling performance.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
A very short-handed Echuca South was obliterated by Echuca by 10 wickets.
With only seven wickets to play with, South was blown off the pitch, losing six of eight batters for ducks as they posted just 17.
Williams Kerr (3-9) had the best figures with the ball, his side then knocking off the 18 runs in under two overs.
Meanwhile, Stanhope scored a dominant win in a much different fashion.
Batting first, Stanhope put up a huge total of 8-220, getting there through a glut of mid-ranged knocks.
Brodie Mulcahy (44 not-out) led seven batters who made double-figures.
When Cooma came to chase, the dynamic duo of Scott Marshall (3-26) and Ryan Spokes (3-37) took three wickets each to send the opposition packing for 129.
Bailey Hiscock (65) raised the bat for a commendable half-century, but his side was soundly beaten.
Kyabram Fire Brigade’s opener Jeff Turpin (58 not-out) to carry his bat, as his side set 134 against Girgarre.
Ryley Cowley (3-3) was lethal with the ball, while Jake Tooley (3-22) also grabbed three wickets.
There weren’t many batting highlights in the Girgarre chase, Tooley (28) and Leighton Ironside (24) the best performances, while Phil Carroll’s 4-17 helped his side dismiss the Kangaroos for 106.
BLU got the best of Rochester by four wickets.
Batting first, Rochy set 7-123, Tony Griffiths anchoring the innings with 51.
There were no star-making performances from the Lions’ reply, but Jason Turner (28 not-out) and Xavier Kellow (20 not-out) formed a strong seventh-wicket partnership to get their side home.
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
In the only tight contest of round 13 in the Raglus Shield, Rushworth (5-149) scraped in a win against Stanhope (7-145).
The Lions batted first, where Thomas Hepburn (50) and Lachlan West (27) navigated Stanhope to a reasonable score.
After taking 2-25 with the ball, Bradie Chillingsworth scored 52 with Bryce and Brodie Shepard making 18 and Declan Baldwin’s 19 all providing support.
Only Lachlan West was able to take more than one wicket, he ended up with figures of 2-21.
Echuca (0-40) rolled Ky Fire Briagde (39) and then quickly chased down their total in 10 overs.
Ross Laurenson (14) was the lone batter to make double figures, with Xavier Bice (8) the only other batter to make about three for the Flames.
Damien Cocks had the best figures for Echuca with 3-13.
Meanwhile, Echuca had no issues getting home, with openers Macklan Dalziel (11 not-out) and William Heward (25 not-out) steering the men in green home.
Bamawm-Lockington United (1-59) similarly had little issue downing Moama (55) in their match-up.
Batting first, the Mowers’ Max McCallum (20) and Finn Murphy (11) were the only batters who made any headway scoring runs, while Royce Serpell had a field day with the ball, taking 3-7.
In the second innings, the Lions only lost the wicket of Nigel Riordan (25) before completing the chase, with Brayden Hull (29 not-out) and Royce Serpell (1 not-out) getting the job done.
