The men in green sent the Tigers in to bat first, with opener Thomas Stevens (49) and Joshua Newton (22) proving to be the most proficient against the Echuca bowling attack.
Ryan Caldwell (3-20) was the best with the ball, while his teammates and openers Rhys Varcoe (33) and Connor Shannon (42) set a good platform for their team to get over the line with just four balls remaining.
Stanhope (6-188) overpowered Elmore (130) to continue its push towards finals.
Luke Twynstra (53) and Johnathan Pearson (55) put on a 107-run partnership to lift the Lions in the first innings, Elmore’s James Harney (3-27) proving to be the most effective with the ball.
Meanwhile, Luke Price (61) and James Harney (22) were the only points of resistance for the Redbacks, who were bowled out within 34 overs, Stanhope’s Josh Densley (3-21) leading the way.
Despite a good start, Moama (7-166) were unable to crack Ky Fire Brigade (8-167) in their second meeting of the season.
Matthew Watt (69 not-out) carried his bat through the innings with Matthew Key (38) providing the most support, Jarrod Chapman’s 2-18 the best bowling figures for the Flames.
On the flip-side, it was more of a collective effort by Fire Brigade with Barry McLeod (44) and Sam Spedding (30) top-scoring with Moama paceman Brodie Smolenaars (3-5) wrecking havoc with the new ball.
BLU (3-165) were able to cruise to a win over Colbinabbin 164), who appear to be slipping down the table in the back half of the season.
Co-captain Fletcher White (65) and Xavier Hooppell (37) scored the bulk of the runs for the Grasshoppers while Nick Simpson (3-22) was the star for BLU with the cherry.
Cameron Laird (60 not-out) and Gregory Pearse (56) both continued their fine form to get their team home in 30 overs with Tyler McNamara (2-16) the only threat with the ball.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade Shield
Cooma (5-295) have put Nondies-Cohuna (141) to the sword in a dominant batting display at Cohuna Recreation Reserve.
Captain Cooper Fawcett’s absolutely ridiculous 195 not-out single-handedly got the job done for his side, the 124 ball innings including 25 fours and two sixes.
Fawcett blasted a staggering 42 runs off the final over, with the help of some no balls.
Nondies were a long shot to chase down almost 300 in 40 overs, with Kansas Varker (39) and Gregory Moorhouse (31) the only batsmen to pass 20.
Xavier Fawcett performed well with the ball for Cooma, taking 3-25.
Moama (9-239) also delivered an outstanding batting display, but was almost chased down, with L-G (6-236) falling short by just three runs.
Brad Mallick (89) and Matthew Palmer (53 not-out) scored the bulk of the runs with L-G’s Jax Hare collecting 3-40.
Matthew Pollock’s 62 and Sam Colvin’s 44 not-out almost got L-G there, which would’ve been an incredible feat, but Dylan Jenkins’ 3-43 slowed them down.
The contest between Rochester (6-184) and Echuca South (7-185) came down to the wire, with the Swans emerging victorious
Coming down from A-grade, Oliver Williams’ incredible knock of 104 led the way for Rochester with Cale James (30) playing an important second fiddle.
Nathan Vanzetta (4-43) was lethal with the ball for the Swans.
Meanwhile, David Whyte (58) and Dallas Price (34) were able to guide their team home with just nine balls remaining.
Tongala (9-173) comfortably defeated Girgarre (144) to retain second spot in the competition.
Brad Northausen (58) and Travis Johnstone (41) put on a 90-run partnership for the Blues to anchor the innings, while Johnathan Sherritt (4-15) had a field day with the ball.
Steven Phillips (72) was the only one to retaliate against a Tonny bowling attack spearheaded by Callum Tucker (3-18).
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
Rochester (4-286) wiped the floor with Cooma (94), with Leigh Hartshorne (126) and Tony Griffiths (65) powering their side.
Michael D’Augello’s 49 not-out was the only resistance Cooma could offer.
It wasn’t just Rochester who piled on the runs, BLU (9-226) also put on a big score to topple Girgarre (136).
Charlie Mundie (56) and Justin Guppy (53) both scored half-centuries in the win, with BLU’s Josh Felmingham (4-34) also performing with the ball.
Ky Fire Brigade (0-60) rolled Echuca South for 59 before chasing down their score in nine overs.
Cameron Hay (33) scored more than half the Swans’ runs before The Flames’ Jeff Turpin (39 not-out) and James Hargreaves (17 not-out) strolled to victory.
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
Ky Fire Brigade (8-194) had little issues handling Moama (83) in their match-up at Girgarre Recreation Reserve.
