Elmore elected to bat first but couldn’t get the scoring rate going, James Harney’s 16 the best score of the Redbacks’ all out 68.
Ky Kenson was lethal for Echuca, bowling six overs, including three maidens, for 5-12.
The batting innings was relatively comfortable for the ladder leader, with Connor Shannon leading from the top with 31 from 24.
Rushworth is the next best in the competition, continuing its strong trajectory with a seven-wicket win over Colbinabbin.
Colbo looked to have set a competitive total of 127 after 53 from opener Hamish Hooppell, but the wickets fell as quickly as the runs were scored, the side dismissed in 27.2 overs.
Rushworth’s bowling was held up by the triumvirate of Shannon Jarrett (4-22), Thomas Stevens (3-23) and Justin Slater (3-29).
No-one logged a big score in the Rushworth chase but all five batters called on made a start, Josh Francis’ 34 not out the highest score.
Moama continues to struggle at the base of the competition, with Stanhope doing just enough to get home by two wickets.
Moama set a modest 109 off the batting of Matthew Watt (40) and Max Johns (21).
Jacob Gillie took two for Stanhope, with five other bowlers getting among the wickets.
Stanhope’s reply was anchored by Hamish Stewart’s 40, Jonathon Pearson’s 23 and Shannon Aynsley (14 not out) finishing the innings with a pair of boundaries in the 35th over.
Bamawm-Lockington United destroyed the Kyabram batting order before running down the 56 required for victory in just 13 overs.
Number nine Brendan White was the best of the Flames’ batsmen, making just 18 as the Flames were rolled for 55, Alex Wagner taking 4-16 to lead BLU.
There was a rocky period in the Lions chase, batters two to six all departing without score, but Josh Cairns (38 not out) and Xavier Kellow (12) got BLU comfortably home.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade Shield
Tongala batted Moama out of the game, making 7-205 and sending the Mowers packing for just 56 in reply.
Stephen Townsend made a composed 71 and was supported by opening partner Kade Northausen (34), while in the bowling innings Zac McKenzie led the Tongala attack with 3-9.
Leitchville-Gunbower had little trouble hunting down the Echuca South total of 85, getting the job done with six wickets in hand.
Nirosh Rashantha tried to hold down the Swans innings with 24 runs but Daniel Hegarty (3-6) led a balanced L-G attack that featured four multiple wicket-takers.
A few moderate innings got L-G within range of the total, with Zac Hegarty making 14 not out and Kaleb Quinn 23 not out.
Cooma proved much too good for Girgarre, chasing down the 92 required in just 15.2 overs.
The trio of Cooper (3-0) and Hunter Fawcett (3-6) and Jack Norris (3-24) ripped through the Girgarre order. Only Jonathon Sherritt (38) was able to provide significant resistance.
All four used batters contributed to the run chase, Kade Hipwell’s 33 not out the best performance.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
BLU dominated with the bat against the Swans at Echuca College in round eight.
The Lions batted first and put on 6-230 from their 40 overs, with Australian Paralympic swimmer Col Pearse scoring 58 and captain Tom Isedale scoring 63.
BLU rolled through the Swans with William Rolf (11), Chris Day (13) and Ryder Roussis (11 not out) the only batters to reach double figures, latter two being tail enders. The Swans finished at 9-58.
Justin Gupp was the pick of the bowlers for BLU, taking 4–6 off six overs.
After Ky Fire Brigade posted 9-114 in its first innings, Echuca chased the total down with minimal difficulty.
Michael Mott (43) and Ben Chapman (23 not out) were the Flames’ best batters while Macklan Dalziel took 2-14 for Echuca.
The chase was by committee for the men in green with Ashley Smith (21), Thusitha Warusawithana (20) and Timothy Moodie (20 not out) all making starts to get the job done while Dan Mott took 2-9 for Fire Brigade.
Girgarre rolled Cooma for 74 and chased down the home side’s total in quick fashion.
Roger French (13) was the only player to reach double figures for Cooma with Jackson Neville picking up 3-10 for the visitors.
The Kangaroos’ opener Billy Gahan (51) essentially won the game with his innings and Noah Stevens took 2-22.
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
In a high-scoring match in Stanhope, the home side (5-184) got it done against Moama (6-140).
The Lions had two half-centurions as Jayke Fisher and Shannon McMahon-Kinnear scored 51 each.
Meanwhile, In Moama’s innings, Landyn Maher’s 52 was a beacon of hope for the visitor but wasn’t able to get it done.
BLU (6-100) emerged victorious over Ky Fire Brigade (9-99) at home.
Captain Chris Cleveland (26 not out) was the only point of resistance for the visitors while Rylee Tyrrell took 4-26.
Meanwhile, Darrel Holgate’s 51 was the driving force behind the Lions’ run chase with Jeff Turpin taking 2-4.
Sixteen wickets fell in just 51 overs as Rushworth (6-74) got over the line against Tongala (73).
The Blues batted first where Andrew Reid (22) had the single score over 20 while Heath Ogden took 4-21.
Rushworth also only had one batter crack the 20s through Brett Pateman (27 not out), with Bradie Chillingsworth (16) in support.
Tonny’s Terry Kay cleaned up with an impressive 4-3.
