As regional Little Athletics centres begin to recover from the flood events of the past two weeks, Kyabram Little Athletics is four weeks into its new season and has thrown its doors open to members from other clubs.

President Claudia Moore said the club had issued an open invitation to little athletes from Mooroopna, Shepparton, Echuca, Moama and Rochester who were unable to compete due to the condition of facilities.
So far this season there have been some outstanding results. Here is a snapshot of the season so far:
Under six: Maya Mangan began the year with a dominant display, but had to be content with runner-up status when Frankie Adamo produced a fantastic second week.
Hudson Mutimer’s discus and shot put results were outstanding, while Harry Fisher set personal bests in the 70m sprint and 60m hurdles.
Eliza Howard also registered several personal best results, as did Samuel Walford.
Under seven: Jarryd Tomasini’s 200m time of 46.38 set a high standard in his age level, with Huxley Cottrell’s 19.33 second 100 metre sprint was the best of the season.
Cottrell also set the standard in shot put and discus.
Violet Atley, Aurora Morabito and Zarli Busch all set personal bests in a variety of events, while Finn Archard, Harlow and Madyn Newman all set new benchmarks for their season.
Under eight: Maddison Old has had a dominant start to the Under eight season, her 12.21 70m personal best and new long jump mark giving her a great start to the season.
Cooper Thomson and Collette Pegoraro were hot on her heels, with Thomson setting a new 60m hurdles mark and Pegoraro a personal best in the 70m sprint.
Zarea Sellick and Levi Cleland, the latter who has recorded 70m and 100m personal bests, have also been great early in the season.
Under nine: Indigo Busch set four personal bests at the October 16 meeting and early in the season has shared the honours with Alana Tomasini and Natasha Couzens.
Katie Thomson had a terrific October 19 program, where she did well in the discus and 400m walk, while Zoe Mangan set new bench marks for the 200m and 70m.
Phoenix Mirabito and Emily Parsons are other athletes who have achieved great results at under nine level.
Ryan Todd and Jax Mulcahy have competed gamely against Archer Greenshields in the various events of the opening month in 2022.
Under 10: Mia Thomson, Lucas Mangan, Marley Vernon and Indianah Baumann have taken turns in their age division, all setting personal bests and winning a variety of events.
Charlie Morrison and Landon Sunders have also been extremely competitive, with Mason Kilpatrick enjoying a terrific outing on October 19.
His 400m walk time of 2 minutes and 47 seconds was a brilliant result, while the 2.3m long jump of Addison Howard was the best on October 16.
Under 11: Layla Old and Lylah Newman have been head to head in the 70m, 100m and hurdles events so far this season.
Tarkyn and Cruz Cleveland, along with Zac Wakenshaw and Cooper Fisher are among the other competitors who have set personal bests early in the season.
At the October 19 event Nataliah Miller set personal bests in the 200m and 70m, while Gemma Tomasini has also set new marks this season.
Koby Walford and Kaleb Archard are others to feature prominently in the results.
Under 12: Stephenie Locke’s sprint results have earned her the best results of her age group, including a 15.25-second 60m hurdles and a 1:36-minute 400m result.
She has been hotly pursued in most events by Jorja Saunders and Lily Todd, while the 11.70m discus throw of Ethan Saywell on October 16 was a significant result.
Under 13: Byron Chapman’s start to the season was excellent in the sprints, while a 15.78 metre discus throw from Teague Miller was the best of the age group.
Elysa Ribbons chased Cooper Wilson and Chapman home in the 800m event, while Oliver Walley threw the javelin 16.40m and Mia Kilpatrick was dominant in recent weeks.
Her 60m hurdles result was outstanding and she hit a 3.10m long jump mark to underline her start to the season.
Max Stockdale and Diesel Emini are others to have featured in the age group.
Under 14: Archer Woods and Kepler Cleveland are the two competitors to feature in the age group, with Woods’ 700m walk time of 4:56 minutes setting the tone.
Cleveland threw the discus 17.08m and had a 16.79m javelin throw.
Under 15: Catriona Baldwin and Grace Kilpatrick are the centre’s two best performed competitors, with Kilpatrick setting a brilliant 31.37 time in the 200m and a triple jump mark of 7.95m,
