Leading the way was Amy O’Driscoll, the Irish rider who travelled 17,000km to take up an apprenticeship with Albury trainer Donna Scott.
On Saturday she teamed up with Scott to win the main race on the program, the Finley Autumn Cup, with Imposing Tullalah.
She also won the previous event, a 1400m Maiden, on the Benalla trained Master Bob.
Other winning female apprentices on Saturday were Holly Durnan and Brittany Button.
The meeting went ahead on a Heavy 9 track after rain during the week, which had led to cancellation of the Albury Gold Cup meeting the previous day.
In the first race, an 1100m Benchmark 58, the Wagga trained Superstruck showed a form turnaround, having finished last at Wagga at her previous start early in the month.
The Super One mare started at 9-1 and was ridden by Holly Durnan for trainer Gary Colvin.
She had reasonable form before the last start failure, including a win four starts previously, and with a light weight scored an easy win by nearly 2.5 lengths from veteran galloper O’reg with Jerilderie trainer Ross Purcell saddling up third placed Swing City.
Race 2 was a 1200m Maiden, in which the Albury trained Kazotsky returned from a spell, having been placed third on two occasions early in his last campaign before his form tapered off.
Trainer Nadine Cameron had the Russian Revolution gelding primed for the first-up assault and with Milos Bunjevac in the saddle he scored by 1.7 lengths from Addictive Street, with the well fancied Andrew Dale trained Jingu Express in third place.
Race 3 was a 1200m Class One Handicap, taken out by another Wagga galloper, Ace Of Lace, scoring just her second win in 16 starts.
The four year-old mare, ridden by Josh Richards and trained at Wagga by Maddison Collins, scored by 2½ lengths from the Nathan Hobson trained Trustthesheriff, with Jerilderie trainer Ross Purcell getting another third placing when emergency Marantelli Miss secured a start after scratchings.
Race 4, the 1400m Maiden Handicap, saw Benalla five year-old gelding Master Bob finally get his first win at his 18th attempt.
The Geoff Brunsdon trained galloper, ridden by O’Driscoll, appreciated the heavy surface and scored by two lengths to Sierra Sun, with Andrew Dale’s Matter Most close up in third place.
The feature event, Race 5, was the Finley Autumn Cup, a 1400m Benchmark 60 taken out by the Albury trained Imposing Tullalah.
Appreciating the extra fitness and a drop in class after contesting a Country Championships qualifying race first-up at Wagga early in the month, Imposing Tullalah started well in the market at $3.70 and scored by just over a length from Bellman, with the well fancied Strummer in third place.
The Daniel McCarthy trained Basso Caruso took out the final event, the AF (Bert) Honeychurch Memorial, a 1600m Benchmark 50 Handicap, scoring by a length over Nathan Hobson trained Rocket Boy, with Sir William Bruce in third place.
Basso Caruso, ridden by apprentice Brittany Button, made it seven wins from 24 starts.
