Mooroopna, the reigning premier, sits one rung below the Tigers on the ladder and will present another challenge for Tatura coach Daniel Coombs and his charges.
“Mooroopna is going to be a good challenge for us,” Coombs said.
“Last weekend was really disappointing and hopefully we can bounce back and execute on some of the things that we need to improve.”
The playing mentor said his side’s bowling — which has been Tatura’s main weapon all season — needed to fire on Saturday.
“Coming in after such a long break, they put us under pressure right from the start,” Coombs said.
“We went away from the things that we had been doing well before the break. Our bowling let us down, so that’s been a big focus this week.
“We want to bowl a tight line and length and build pressure on the batters.”
Restricting the influence of Mooroopna’s gun batters in the round 10 encounter will be vital to Tatura’s chances of claiming victory.
Jac Smith-Williams found the middle of the bat last week in the win over Shepparton United and scored his maiden half-century of the season.
Fellow Mooroopna batter Ethan Anderson has 183 runs from six innings and scored a brilliant century in round three.
Tatura will be without Tom Vibert and Will Pyke for this weekend’s clash, with the pair unavailable.
Coombs revealed pace bowler Bailey Archer would return to the line-up, with the other inclusion yet to be decided.
“We have a couple out this weekend due to unavailability,” Coombs said.
“Bailey comes back into the side. He’s had a few injury niggles this season, but he’s played plenty of A-grade games, so we’re looking forward to welcoming him back.”
