His Magpie outfit did not disappoint and, after being sent in to bowl on their home deck, they toppled United’s bats, who would limp to 119 after 34.3 overs.
Opener Chaminda Vidanapathirana continued his solid run of form with the blade, producing a brave 42 to open United’s account.
But after he departed eight runs shy of his half-century in the 17th over, the floodgates opened.
The remaining eight United batters could only manage a further 44 runs, as it finished on 119 in a disappointing surrender.
Sham Dadallage helped himself to the lion’s share of the wickets, snagging a supreme five for 23 with four maidens from his eight-over spell.
Youngster Ryan Hill (2-18) got in on the action, while Fraser Ellis, Mitchell Walters and Ben Milliken took a wicket apiece.
An early scare had Euroa opener Josh Robertson back in the pavilion in the first over, before Vidanapathirana struck two balls later to dismiss Dadallage to have United daring to do the impossible.
The Magpies would lean on their experience, however, with middle-order mainstays Fraser Ellis and Vaughan Kirk coming to the crease to grind out 31 and 44 respectively.
United coach Mahesh Kodamullage (2-27) spun a web to cut their innings short, but the cool-headed Squires would see things out in fitting fashion, producing 29 off 27 balls to push his side over the line.
