The Tigers defender had an exceptional game against Shepparton United, topping the ranking points tally for either side by a significant margin.
McCarty distributed 28 disposals at a tidy 82 per cent efficiency, reeling in 14 marks as he provided an effective outlet for his side coming out of defensive 50.
The Tigers star made an impact in all parts of the ground, logging four each of inside 50s, rebound 50s and clearances.
McCarty was a menace to the Demons’ attacking hopes, snatching seven intercept possessions while making four tackles and spoiling four United marking opportunities.
In total, McCarty’s contributions earned him 164 ranking points, nearly 30 clear of the next best player, fellow Tigers defender Blake Evans.
Evans also had a massive game for the Tigers, particularly with the ball in his hands, dishing out a game-high 34 disposals at 71 per cent efficiency.
When the Tigers were looking to get out of trouble, Evans was routinely the man they were looking at to escape defensive 50, as he also topped the game with a huge nine rebound 50s.
As Rochy pushed up the ground, Evans was happy to push up from half-back, logging six inside 50s.
Evans’ defensive impact was also felt through his five intercept possessions, the sum of his game earning him 135 ranking points for the match.
The Tigers will hope McCarty and Evans maintain their sparkling form as they face Euroa in an elimination final on Saturday.
